The Career Interest Inventory will give you a list of careers that align with your interests based on your answers. Pick one of those careers that are ranked as a .75 or higher. Those will be the ones that align mostly with your interests.
Your Google Slide Presentation needs to follow the format below. I will give you a graphic organizer to keep track of all of these. Keep track of the sources you use. Google is not a source! Google helps you find sources!

O’Net-Online Search by using the Browse by Job Family section. Click on the career you are interested in for information on the job duties, skills needed, and wages.
Princeton Review Online: Career Click on Careers. Browse Career Profiles on careers that you are interested in researching. It will give you information on what a typical workday might be, necessary training, and associated careers.
Riley Career Research Center Explore the job salaries, growth, and education needed about the career you are researching.

Top 50 Health Care Jobs Are you interested in a health care related career? Check out this website which contains information about the top 50 health care jobs.

- First Slide: Your Name, Your Chosen Career, a picture of someone in your career
- Second Slide: Why did you pick this job?
- Third Slide: What do you need to be good at the job you chose? Patience, Personable, Physically Fit, Intelligence, etc.
- Fourth Slide: Education and Training: What type of degree or training do you have to have for your job? Tech School, College, University? How much will it cost to do it?
- Fifth Slide: Hours and Location: What are the typical hours/work schedule for your career? Where do you normally work? Nurses typically work at doctors offices or hospitals, teachers work at schools, mechanics work at garages, etc.
- Sixth Slide: Conditions: What is the work environment like? Loud, quiet, dirty, clean. Are there any potentially hazardous conditions which you may encounter?
- Seventh Slide: Salary and Benefits: From the lowest salary you can find to the highest salary and why it varies, years on the job, education level, etc. Benefits are things that are worth money without really giving you money like health insurance, dental insurance, paid vacations, sick days, holidays off, maybe even a company car or company cell phone, free daycare, gym memberships, discounts at other businesses, etc.
- Eighth Slide: Future outlook/Room for Advancement: Is your chosen job increasing or decreasing in demand and why? Also, can you get a promotion to a higher position or is it considered a dead end job?
- Ninth Slide: Sample Advertisement for the job: Search online to find a sample advertisement wanting to hire someone for your job. Google search “(Name of your job) advertisements for employment” and it should find you some job advertisements.
- Tenth Slide: After researching this job, do you love it? Hate it? Tell us why! Did it match up with your personality traits?
- Eleventh Slide: Bibliography: Copy and paste the websites you used for your information. It is easier if you keep track of these as you find information instead of going back at the end to locate all of them. Just copy the website address you use, Google will not be a source. Google is used to help you locate a source.
